I’ve just watched the Q & A program from Monday 9th of July http://www.abc.net.au/iview/?series=3421606#/view/24050 where Malcolm Turnbull made a statement about what makes a strong, solid relationship/marriage.
Yes…it is COMMITMENT! What an impressive statement.
I totally agree!! A good and solid relationship is not built based on luck; you have work on it, build on the foundation and really stand together for what you believe.
What does commitment look like?
- Commitment to honour, respect and love your partner.
- Commitment to work things through when things get tough; talk it through and find common ground to support each other. Be patient with each other and support each other the best way you can.
- Support each other through tough and hard times, such as sickness or moments of vulnerability.
Finally, trust is a key factor. Without it, there is no relationship.
